Pink ... or Magenta

Salford’s (dominant) corporate colour is Magenta. There was a whole rationale for it when it was introduced nearly 20 years ago which I and everyone else has forgotten.

This lunchtime I had a number of choices:
* a banner hanging from the civic centre
* a council van
* a bin
* a logo on the side of a taxi
* a sign telling me not to drop litter
* and .... a board telling me about the Swinton Heritage Trail (this blip is part of it).

For some reason everyone thinks this colour is Pink. It’s not, it’s Magenta. Only a branding pedant would actually care
