Newbiggin Cliff
Day 10 of the Cleveland Way, the final stretch from Scarborough to Filey. I enjoyed the walk around Scarborough especially.
We walked along the top of this spectacular cliff as we approached Filey Brig. The final section was quite muddy in places; bad enough that Mrs P slipped and fell, fortunately without injury. We learnt later that the path might have been churned up by a recent event.
My extra is myself and Mrs P sitting on the marker for the end of the Way. It was taken by another walker that we'd met a few times on different days. We had an enjoyable meal together before he returned home to Switzerland.
Overall, it was a great long-distance path, and one that I might do again. I think I enjoyed the moorland half more than the coast, perhaps because the view changes less.
