The Truckee River
meandering into Pyramid Lake. Near the lower right border you can see on a big screen the tiny white triangle, which is the Pyramid Rock.
All land around this lake is desert and belongs to the paiute tribe.
The white surfaces are salt from evaporated lakes. Soon we flew over Utah to Salt Lake City - more of this landscape.
I always loved to look at the geology of a landscape from above. Can you see the old volcano rests on the right lower part of the picture?
