Stickers

Lovely morning at playgroup with H & AR - now that's something I haven't done for a long time! AR was interesting - very happily played with the cars and garage (for ages!) then moved to the other areas and again seemed to be very absorbed in each set of toys. Not many others there but we had some nice chats with the other parents/carers and then walked home (slowly! - lots of dandelion clocks to collect and blow).
Lunch, then some drawing and playing with her favourite sticker book. Altogether she had a really busy morning and was cheerful yet focussed throughout....interesting to get more time to see her little personality close up when she's doing different things.
Afterwards I headed off to London and into Downing St for a reception. we had to wait to let the PM's car and security sweep out on her way to the Commons to talk Brexit. That was the last we saw of her - she never reappeared to host as was intended but we all had fun anyway regardless (possibly more fun?!)
Started the trek home....knitted all the way on the train (this baby blanket is going to be very hard and I haven't left myself enough time) but then as we approached Newcastle it all started to go wrong.... We were due in at 11.30pm but a suicide on the line then all the resultant delays and swapped drivers etc meant I didn't get in til nearly 1am......argh!
