Looking back
I went to a workshop today in Clydebank Library giving some information about searching family trees. Really helpful and interesting; I can see many hours of searching ahead (it's rather time consuming!)
In the library they have a map which they put up last year, when the Clydebank Blitz 75th anniversary commemorations were taking place. They were inviting people to put a pin in it to show where families were evacuated to. My Dad was evacuated to Darvel and my Mum's family went to Rothesay/Port Bannatyne - no pins were in either place so I added two today.
