The football stadium as we headed home after Blade Runner 2049.
A bit ambivalent about the film. It doesn't have the quirky charm of the original and it's not as strong stylistically. Friends had led me to fear it was going to be misogynistic but I thought there were a few strong female characters and if it speaks of a dystopian future where women are valued for their reproductive capacity then so did The Handmaid's Tale (if rather better).
If you're a fan of the first you won't miss it but this won't have the impact or generate the loyal following of the original.
