Salvation on wheels

This humble camper van appears to be a former servant in the search for salvation. But I fear that it's race is run.

It first appeared in a street on my walk to work well over a year ago; proudly proclaiming the name of Emmaus Ministries. I looked it up, and while the only mention of such an organisation I could find was Chicago, suggesting that it was a very long way from home, I also learned that Emmaus is a town mentioned in the Gospel of St John.

Anyway, the van has become a silent witness in the street, rooted to what seems to be its final home until someone complains to the council and it gets towed away. I'll miss it once it is gone.
