Crown No1 Restoration

Work was a little bit quiet today so I arrived home this arvo feeling a bit restless and in need of some hands on activity in the workshop. The stove I am currently restoring is nearing completion. Most of what needs to be done is cosmetic. I find when I come to this stage on an enjoyable project I tend to slow down, probably to keep the enjoyment going.

This stove restoration must be coming up for 8 or 9 months, Maybe even a year. The first stove I restored only too 3 months. I have parts for probably another 3 restorations so it looks like I have enough to keep me occupied for at least the next 5 years or so.

Restoring old wood stoves! What kind of a hobby is that anyway?
