Old Father Hubbard

I gave him a name,
and his name is Josh.
Not an Acorn or Kabocha...
he is a Hubbard squash.

Using a knife of parry,
with a blade that is fine,
you play with the veggie...
and later...you dine.

You carve off the skin,
you could say you're a skinner.
And, after the carving...
you can have him for dinner.

He has beady eyes,
and some teeth of upper.
And, I hope he is good...
when we have him for supper.
