Brisbane, Australia

Sunday was definitely a good day to be in Brisbane. Southbank was around a 30 minute walk along the river and had lots of market stalls to look at - from jewellery to clothes to food, it was great. Right next to the market is Streets beach. Brisbane doesn't have a beach so in the middle of the gardens there are several pools and a man made beach with the skyline in the background, all for free for anyone that wants a swim. I hadn't been for a swim yet and was dying to go so went back to the hostel, grabbed my swimming stuff, took the free ferry down the river and spent the rest of the afternoon there. It was just lovely having a swim and chilling out as it's been all go since we started travelling. Hugh also enjoyed dipping his feet in and keeping cool :)
