This is Allison... sort of

My daughter's sketch misrepresents me in a few respects. For one, the woman in this drawing is thinner than her mom actually is. For another, my ears are a tad lower :-)

This probably also shows a happier Allison than in real life. For those who assume that lawyers are uniformly callous, I will confess that I've shed more than a few tears today over a loss which I feel is manifestly unjust. It is a file I have done for free, because the client's case cries for a remedy. But today I was not able to deliver a just result, and that made me very, very sad and feeling very defeated.
