Mak a Lang Airm

It's been a lovely day, really calm and sunny spells.  It's been dry all day, and lovely calm night.

Up early and headed out for a walk with Sammy around Scalloway.  Nipped to the town before lunch, and bumped into mam, sister Julie and nieces in the supermarket.  They popped over after shopping, and then we all headed up north.  We headed up to North Roe to see auntie Joan and uncle Magnie, who were both delighted to see us.  More walkies with Sammy this evening, and now feet up for the night.

It was my sister Julie's first visit to the new house, and she liked my tour, views and garden.  While they were here, it was a good chance for a cuppa, lunch and a catch up.  Mak a lang airm, make a long arm, means to help yourself to food on the table, and that's always been the way with all our family.   L-R - Lottie, Anna, Julie and mam.  Taken at home at Hawthorn Cottage, Houl Road, Scalloway.
