Nearly Upon Us

I’m quietly looking forward to Halloween this year. In the past the children have encouraged a certain degree of confectionary generosity. Not so this year, they are not here, I shall take myself upstairs to the second Sky box leaving downstairs in darkness to deter the door knockers.

It’s not that I’m tight fisted, anti Halloween or dislike children it’s more that as £10 worth of assorted sweets disappear and the youngsters keep coming, the look of disappointment on young faces just makes you feel a bad person.

Friday, the weekend is upon us, Clare is working so home alone - apart from Gussie.
