Bomble has found a new sleeping zone
I came downstairs to make some lunch and as I pottered about the dining room, I spotted Bomble had taken up residence in a new spot. This spring I planted some climbing French beans in a recycling container outside the patio door and trained them up a trellis I fixed up for the purpose. I also wanted to grow Morning Glory flowers there but they got smothered by the bean leaves.
Now the beans have all gone and the leaves of the plants have nearly all fallen the soil has sunken down into the container. The lack of rain and warm sunshine meant that today it seemed an ideal spot for a cat to have a nap. The fact that there was a bird feeder a few feet above his head would have had nothing to do with any decisions for Bomble. He woke up when I called his name and as you can see wasn't best pleased. But it didn't last long and he was fast asleep again within a couple of minutes.
