St. Mary's Church, Harrogate
This is St. Mary's Church in Harrogate, a Grade II listed building which was closed in 2007 having been declared redundant and structurally unsound.
It was built in 1916 and designed by the architect Walter Tapper.
Since it was constructed, the crumbly and porous sandstone from which it is constructed has plagued the building with moisture problems and this has no doubt contributed to its demise. You can see evidence of this on the exterior.
Although up for sale, its future looks sadly rather uncertain.
The main entrances are boarded up and some of its windows have been broken, so it would appear to be heading for dereliction.
There are some images of the interior here.
