Pacific Black
It must be quite evident by now that I am not and have never been a bird shooter. Mind you I do admire bird shooters immensely. They have enormous patience and skill. The one word which lingers on my tongue to describe this morning's attempts, down at the lake is "FRUSTRATION" Grrr!
Beckett's assignment for the members of the Blackheath Photo Group was to shoot a bird in the act of taking off. Well several of the birds nearby DID take off but none of the little sods had the manners to tell me when they were about to do it. Oops. Too late. Darn it. Too slow again. Bummer, I missed that runway landing behind me until it was mostly over. Generally the ducks and the coots just ... sort of ... GRINNED at me like this little scoundrel, up top..
Like Douglas McArthur "I shall return" with victory on my mind.
