Wild flower
It is that time of year in the Belair Park where the wild flowers are at their peak. Most of them anyway. This is our native grevillea.
Common names include grevillea, spider flower, silky oak and toothbrush plant. Closely related to the genus Hakea, the genus gives its name to the subfamily Grevilleoideae. It was named in honour of Charles Francis Greville who was a British antiquarian, collector and politician.
