Measuring

Planning for our bedroom redecoration moved a big step forward today. We have chosen the curtains and short listed the carpets and paint colours.  Tomorrow there will probably be a few coloured patches on the wall for us to choose the one we like best.  Hopefully work will start in a couple of weeks (but, for various reasons, we are expecting it to take several weeks before it is finished).

I think I survived several hours of shopping and browsing remarkably well. I wouldn't normally spend a couple of hours in the John Lewis curtains department (but a cup of tea and a muffin in the cafe afterwards was a welcome relief).
