Church walls

On a dull and dreary day I was really cheered up by this tiny Barren strawberry plant still flowering in the church wall at St Mary's in Stopham.
The Barren strawberry Potentillia sterilis is a low growing perennial of the rose family, that loves to grow in dry places such as old walls. It usually flowers from February through the early part of spring, so this one is either late or early, I am not sure which.
