Celebration

Friday, 6 October
Liberation of Istanbul (İstanbul’un Kurtuluşu) – Regional Holiday – Anniversary of the liberation of Istanbul by Turkish armed forces during the War of Independence.


Today we had a short but lovely lunchtime concert of three Turkish songs performed by faculty and students to celebrate Istanbul Day.


Tonight I enjoyed a celebration of my own with the arrival of Robin from Baku, staying for the weekend.
