Happy Birthday Mum

Today we celebrated my mum's 80th birthday in Nelson.  Although she's not 80 until Tuesday, we held the celebration today, as all the family could get there this weekend.

My mum is one of five daughters; mum is the second eldest.  All her sisters, apart from one, who is not well, could not make it.  However they skyped the sister unable to make it, and I have a photo of all five sisters together.  I'm not sure when they will next get together, all of them living in different parts of the South Island, and they are starting to get older which makes it difficult with travelling.

Mum and Dad weren't well either today, both suffering with a terrible head cold that is doing the rounds.  It was such a pity, but still really nice that they were able to come out to lunch with us.
