Kingfisher.

Not a good shot I know, but sightings of Kingfishers are few and far between.  Sightings of one perched within camera range are even rarer.   This shot was taken at a particularly dull period as we passed Brindley Bank Rugeley.  It is perched on the tail of a Pheasant weather vane!

After this we reached Fradley Junction where we turned on to Coventry Canal.  Our next objective was to call in at Streethay Boatyard to arrange for the 100 hours service of the new engine on Friday.

The rest of the day was uneventful apart from a very noticeable lack of Herons and Canada Geese.
