A Writer's Life

In the world of Henri, this will go down as a blah day, with moments of fun ponctuated by cries of pain. Vaccines are not easy for the little guy.

To be honest, we're all tired. The week has been difficult as it involved way too many doctor's appointments and worries. Oli had a few meltdowns because crayons kept falling and the lights were not on in all rooms. I only wanted to sleep. And Henri wanted both to be held and to be alone. So that wasn't exactly easy to make happen.

My dad has finally left the emergency room and got a proper room in the hospital. So we might go visit him to cheer him up as he waits to know what the problem is. (Nurses were not happy to see Henri in the ER when we visited Wednesday. They gave me 30 minutes max and checked on us to make sure Henri wasn't too exposed to the germs and illnesses. But like I told one: I have to breastfeed this baby, and I only have one daddy. So I had to be there.)
