Toledo Museum of Art

Lisa and I are off on a 2 day mini-excursion. From Michigan down into the dreaded state of Ohio. We spent the afternoon at the Toledo Museum of Art, and now are spending the night in Marion, Ohio.

Marion, Ohio...the former stomping grounds of Blip's own...Sefferdog. Wade (and wife Jen?) grew up here. It is also the home of one of our 45 presidents...Warren G. Harding.

I stopped at the first gas station to ask for directions.

"Can you tell me where the Harding Memorial is?"

"Go about 3 miles on this road, then take a left."

"Thanks. And where is the Sefferdog Memorial?"

"Who?"

"Sefferdog...he's a world famous photographer on Blip."

"What's Blip?"

"It's a photo-sharing site on the w.w.w., you know...the world wide web."

"Never heard of him or it." Then...rather snappily..."Hey Buddy, is there anything else I can do for you?"

I grabbed him by the shirt collar, and raised him a few inches off the ground. "First of all...I'm not your buddy, and second of all...THE NEXT TIME I COME THROUGH HERE...I WANT TO SEE A STATUE OF SEFFERDOG! YOU GOT THAT...BUDDY?"

These Ohio people. Sometimes you just have to teach them a little thing called respect.

Tomorrow morning? We're going...we're going...(wait for it...wait for it)...to the Ohio Gourd Show! WOO-HOO! (Lisa can hardly wait.)
