A Walk in the Park

We are very lucky having Sefton Park in the south of Liverpool. Whilst there is an ongoing campaign to prevent Sefton Park Meadows, which lie adjacent to the park, from being sold to developers, so far the park appears to have escaped from the obvious ravages of austerity. One way might be because of its increasing use as a venue for festivals of all sorts. I imagine that this must bring in some income. Not all parks have escaped. We were recently in Wythenshawe Park in Manchester. It is now looking very sad and neglected.
