Aira Falls

Back Blipped 6th October

On a very rainy post wedding day, we visited Aira Force, a lengthy stretch of waterfall dropping steeply down to Ullswater. It's a two mile hike to the to, and happily we were in full water proofs as it simply did not stop raining. That did make for pretty good falls of course, although one picture can't really do two miles of waterfalls justice.

On this day too we moved base from the Punchbowl Inn, Askham (very good) to Castlerigg Hall camping site (also very fine).  At about this stage the storm began. If the camper van is rocking... it's probably not what you think. ;-)
