Canongate

Lovely to have a flying visit to Edinburgh this afternoon. We wanted to pick up my engagement ring from the jeweller. It, (the ring) was being adjusted in size & has been ready for four months. I'm not keen on Edinburgh in the summer, I prefer it when the majority of the tourists have gone home & it's more how I remember it when I lived there in the early 1990s. So it was good to visit today even it was very briefly. Twenty seven years ago this month I was a fresher! Yikes!
We then headed to my parents, a journey which should have taken well under two hours but which due to traffic took us 3.5 hours! Still lovely to be here & catch up on news.
