Pikes Peak

Here we are at Pikes Peak Colorado at 14115  feet above sea level and quite windy up there!   I saw a young girl trying to take a selfie with her camera and asked if I could take one for her and  she also took one for us! The train that they use to come up here is a special kind  called a cog rail.  I think there are about 8 in the world.  Most of them are in Switzerland where they are made. The United States has about 3 or 4.   They started taking people up in 1891.  Apparently they also have a race up to the top once a year which is quite a story in it self!
