Pembroke

One of the largest castles in Wales.
Owned and managed by a private trust it relies solely on income received by visitors. Well worth the £6 entrance fee . You can spend a good few hours investigating all the nooks and crannies, negotiating spiral staircases to walk some of the ramparts and towers.. and if like me you tag onto a guided tour you get a history lesson as well.
There are lovely walks to be had around the area as well...
