Delft

Today we took the tram number 1 over to Delft. Normally the tram goes direct from Scheveningen to Delft, today there were works on the line, and so at Rijswijk we had to change to a bus for the last few kilometres. The journey takes about an hour.

We had a walk around Delft and had lunch there. I bought a miniature bottle of gin. (This was later going to cause an issue at the airport as we forgot we had it in our hand luggage with two packets of waffles! Luckily the miniature was within the liquids allowance and so we were able to keep it).

On the return we got off the tram near the Parliament building and had a walk around the centre of The Hague, after which we returned to Scheveningen on the tram.
