Wednesday Wood

I picked up a big leaf on my walk last week, traced it on the wood, wood-burned it, then painted it.

I say big leaf...it is 18.5 inches from the tip of the petiole (stem) to the apex. The midrib is about 10.5 inches long, and the green blade had many discolored spots on it.

Thank you to Google for telling me the parts of a leaf. I might still indent the edges of the blade with a Dremel tool, then finish it by applying a layer of stain.
