Craigentinny Marbles
I blipped one sculptural panel of the Craigentinny Marbles, properly termed The Miller Mausoleum some time ago but, since we were just round the corner this afternoon for our regular Church Friends meetup, could not resist another peek.
Here it is shown at its full height, said to allow the body of William Henry Miller to be buried as he had stipulated, at a depth of 40 feet.
Once set alone in an open field it stands now surrounded by housing and an adjacent bowling green but is still the impressive monument that Miller intended.
