A720 Under the City Bypass (Loanheid)
Bhoyed buoyed by a good night's sleep I resolved to battle the lurgy and after a restful morning of MOTD and some dishes, the bike was pressed into action. For all the furore at Musselburgh, I fancied the darkness on the edge of town nearer Straiton.
With no real power but high cadence I was off up past Cameron Toll, surviving / dodging a dooring by a couple of inches and out over the top and down the other side into Midlothian (just)
Helpfully the rain started as I arrived at the bypass / underpass and was cheered immeasruably by the sighting of a decent big Cigs. A bit of rummaging around and a couple more on lamp posts were found too.
So come Monday morning, I need some EH17 action in the group tray to drag me back up this way - probably Thursday; we'll see.
I got my shot and sped back into town; grabbed a coffee (about the only legal high available to cyclists these days) and waited for the coast to be clear before enjoying a post ride rest in town for the afternoon.
Still managed 50km on a quiet not doing much kindofa day.
