Kowhai
At last my Chatham Island Kowhai is flowering and the tuis and wax-eyes are partying.
Tomorrow, Blip mate and I are off on an adventure for 3 days. We will travel by bus down the West Coast of the South Island to Hari Hari. There has been a tour arranged for us to visit the breeding grounds of the white heron.
The White heron or Kotuku are not common in New Zealand, with a population of only around 200 birds. This is the only place in the country where they breed and now is the time to see them. Spoonbills also breed there so there will be plenty of work for our cameras to do.
Whether or not we can blip or comment remains to be seen once we get there.
