Happy trio

Fair warning: the pic is from my recently completed trip to the south of France -- so I'm cheating, I guess. These guys were sitting on the roof of a house, just chilling and when I asked for a pic, they were more than happy to oblige :)

Why? I spent the day catching up with odds and ends and getting back to life as it is; my cameras are resting from their workout over the past month.  But mostly, it makes me happy, on a day where I awoke (really, really early) to news of the worst mass shooting in the US. Another senseless event that is leaving misery in its wake and getting various pompous people to offer "thoughts and prayers" as if those would make any difference. This country is going to hell in a hand basket...
