Backblip 1st Oct: Golden sands and pink rocks

I have been reading for a while now about the pink granite rocks in this part of France. I don't know... they look more Amethyst in colour to me.

This taken on the rather wonderful beach at Sables d'Or Les Pins.  The sands aren't all that golden really... much like the sand colour at Scarborough, in fact
