The circle of life

I thought I'd look at Autumn as the heavy winds today seem to have tugged leaves from the trees and scattered them across grass and garden, streets and pavements and through gates and fences.
I spent a while pruning some shrubs, though I've no idea whether I should have done a general snip round or been a bit more specific but either way there is a bag of garden surplus to find its way to recycling.

At long last I dug up the grass and planted some snowdrops in the lawn which I hope will be a nice splash of white popping through next February.

The usual round of dog walks today shows some possible autumn blips. There are certainly some massive fungi to look out for later this week.
