The Jesus and Mary Chain are still effortlessly cool - I presume they don't even have to think about it these days. Even the kit they use: William Reid has these orange cased speakers with JESUS stencilled on the grilles and heads carefully marked FUCK in bright red decals. If he did ever raise his head you still wouldn't be able to see anything other than his unruly shock of hair for all the strobes and dry ice.

Interestingly, there were quite a few youngsters there too - Katie tells me that some of the kids at school that want to look 'edgy' are into them, so no change there from thirty years ago...
