Pink October : Pink Blossoms

Breast Cancer Awareness Month  

Today the walking group travelled over the Crown Range to Lake Hayes.  We walked around the lake (8 k's, 13,000 steps), stopping for lunch at a convenient spot, overlooking a wind swept lake.  There was a cooling breeze, which was great, as the sun was pretty hot.  In this blip The Boss, with Tussock, (from Tussock Tales), is heading up the incline, with lovely pink blossoms overhanging the track.  The extra is a sign that was along the track, we thought it was true, funny and Pink!

We stopped for a welcome ice cream at a local cafe before heading back over the hill to Wanaka.
