Was It Really So Long Ago

A Grey Day

Much of today was given over to clearing the lounge of furniture, being careful to rehouse the toys lost under the sofa and the spiders to the garden. The girls however, had a Guiding division day organised for them at Kirby Le Soken. Although Essex is not renowned for being hilly, their location was at the top of one and it was blowing a gale (not too cold though). Around a hundred or so girls and their leaders spent the day doing activities including archery and cooking on an open fire, whilst I took a detour on the way home to the beach. The last time we were there, it was August bank holiday and it was baking. Now as can be seen, its pretty much deserted (quelle surprise).
