to Start a New Season

So this time is often thought to be the start of the beekeeping season.  This is rather odd because in most other agricultural circles the autumn marks the end of the season.

However all the spare honey has been removed from the hives and, where necessary, they have been given a feed of sugar syrup.  I am reasonably satisfied that they now have enough food to last through the winter.

So all that remains to be done is to stack all the spare equipment away....
