The mystery stone of Spring Wood

This marked stone stands amidst the remnants of what must be a very old stone wall through the wood on the plateau above the main beck-side track.

Tantalisingly it's not easy to decipher the date....maybe 1914? Do you think?

KE and JE...perhaps siblings? Probably married couples are less likely to engrave their initials: at least by the stage where they're married!
