Peanuts
It seems squirrels just can't resist them and that's not a bad thing when you're trying to get one to pose for you. If I go into the wood at the bottom of the garden and lay a few peanuts out I don't have to wait long before one of the family come along to try them. I think this is the mother and she has a couple of very tiny offspring which are lightening quick and have yet to develop their distinctive luxuriant tails. We used to have too many in the garden but with the unusual weather the last couple of years their numbers have lessened and we don't see quite so many.
We had lunch with my brother and his wife today and then I had a brief foray into the wood - I suppose we've just had a nice quiet day.
