I love the deep chestnut colour of conkers and the shiny soft skin. And all encased in such a prickly protective outer shell. Always lovely curly patterns on them too. Haven't found many this autumn up to now.

Busy day cutting things out ready to make up - mostly for me today (which is most unusual) - an orange and black batik tiered skirt, a batwing top, a fleece jacket and a bag with dogs on.

Many things to do in the garden but everything is far too wet.
