Purple Flowers

The carbon monoxide alarm started going off this morning. First we had to figure out which of the alarms around the house was the offender. Then we had to figure out how to open it to change the battery. It is hardwired into the wall...apparently the battery is some sort of back up. I finally suggested prying it open with a screwdriver whereupon it slid upwards, a direction neither of us had considered...

The adrenaline has worn off. It's pretty clear that OilMan is going to live, but that he's not quite ready to haul stones around the garden. He's bored, I'm tired but we're both grateful that all went well and recovery seems to be progressing well.

We are also grateful, as always, to Dana who has been here most of the day putting the final touches on Phase 1 of the new pathway /rock river. We're also grateful to Jim the computer doctor whose mere presence in the room was enough for me to find the missing Blipfoto album (which I'm sure wasn't there yesterday...but there are times when I doubt my own sanity....)

This is something of an emergency Blip of the pretty little plant by the TV room door. I'll try to get a shot of Dana's rock river tomorrow. We all agree we like it better than the giant agave, especially the dying Giant blue agave....
