Hoverfly

A few miles outside of Pickering there is the remains of an old Roman Camp which we've meant to visit for the last few years but never got round to it. Well today we finally did. There's not much to see but it's a nice walk for the dog. It was a bit overcast and the landscape shots didn't turn out too well. This cliched hoverfly-on-flower shot saved the day.

(Well, actually the best shot I took today was of a mushroom. But my missus AnnW took the same shot and posted it first!)
