Waterfall

We had the most amazing day out today. It was just so good to escape the city and all the talk of blockades etc (airports have now been shut down) and enjoy the beauty of this country.

First we stopped off at an archaeological dig run by a German uni. They've found things from 1500-200 BC! Even tablets with cuneiform on.

Then we drove really high up into the mountains near the Turkish border and got permission from the peshmerga there to go through to the most beautiful waterfall. We had loads of fun with our dinghy.

Then we went to a huge cave full of water and stalagmites. Such an interesting place to visit.

I love this country!
