Up into an oak tree

Oaks are knoen to support many hundreds of other species.This ine by the start of the Speyside Way Duffton spur had two distinctive lichens and a noss on the bark.
We ran and the boys cycled 6 miles up the track and back. There are a couple of places where landslips have eaten into the path but mostly this old railway line is a perfect easy run up above the Fiddoch. Beautiful on a warm autumn day and better than yesterday tied to the washing machine!
