Woke up this morning feeling fine...

...then I tried to heat the house.  Greeted with a strong smell of fuel oil and I exposed the boiler gubbins to see a pool of liquid gold seeping through the floor boards.  The burner had failed, the control panel burnt out and somehow the oil had started to leak.  No danger says my boiler man who came over and made it safe (worth his weight in gold - and that's how I usually pay him).  

Gonna be ccccold until Monday.
