Last Day In Paradise
And so the sun has set, this time tomorrow we will be home. We woke this morning to clear skies which bode well for a last full day by the pool, but the weather went typically Madeiran on us, and it clouded up at lunchtime until six o clock, but we have just been treated to the first and last proper sunset since we got here.
As I said yesterday, all good things must come to an end, and we must now return to normal life, if nothing else, my rapidly expanding waistline will say thank you tomorrow!
It has been the most wonderful and relaxing two weeks out here, and we will very soon be counting the days down to when we return. We are kind of hoping to come back out here next September to make up for the fact mum and dad couldn't come out here with us.
Time for one last goodbye drink, and then it is time to work down the checklist to make sure have everything for the fights etc. No rush in the morning as we don 't fly until ten to one in the afternoon, and should be back in the UK by five-ish.
I'll see you on the other side as they say ...
